Facial masks are used for skincare treatments to purify your skin and restore a youthful glow. Masks come in a variety of formulations, everything from clay to treat oily skin, enzymes to gently exfoliate, plumping and firming ingredients for aging skin, hydrators for dry skin, and anti-inflammatories to soothe and calm sensitive skin.
Facial masks are intended to be used two to three times a week. Most treatment masks are left on cleansed skin for about 10 minutes with more specific instructions included with each mask. Some masks maintain a creamy consistency until removal, while other masks harden and feel tight as they dry until removed with a sponge.
Whether treating acne or just adding hydration, every skin-treatment regimen should include a facial mask.
